A home is a place where people come together to make memories. It is a series of moments. The design of a home can help facilitate those moments, through careful spatial planning and thoughtful consideration for everyday human activity. Here are some moments we have helped to create for selected projects.

EALING : A garage conversion and extensive remodelling to this mid-century suburban town-house, for a family with work from home commitments and a brief to provide a ‘retreat’ from the outside world.

“Katie was the lead architect on our project to reinstate a much neglected house back to its former glory, from four derelict flats. Working with the constraints of a tree with a preservation order, she designed an extension which matched what we wanted but also satisfied the planners. I think Katie’s strength is her that she doesn’t “force” her ideas onto clients - she listens to what they want and then makes them not only achievable, but look beautiful. Small touches that she added to the design are always commented on by guests, and the beautiful staircase is a showstopper! She has designed a home which is not only beautiful but is practical and works for us as a family. The measure of great design is when inhabitants are happy living there, and we have never been happier, in part due to the beautiful home Katie designed.” - Private Client, Kingston

FARNHAM : A small extension and interior remodelling to an Edwardian home to provide more functional and efficient spaces for a blended family of eight.

“I worked closely with Katie when looking to design a two storey extension to my semi-detached ex-estate cottage in Berkshire. She designed from the inside out, considering how we could create considerable additional space, while also enhancing the circulation around the cottage to provide the spaces we wanted. She talked about how our day-to-day lives played about and therefore how we would use the various rooms. As a result we developed a design solution which quickly navigated the planning challenges, blended seamlessly with the existing architecture, while still delivering a huge increase in space and natural light into the middle of the house. I would highly recommend her as a designer, who quickly understands your needs and has some fabulously creative ideas to provide solutions which are deliverable on-site and within budget.” - Private Client, Berkshire

CHISWICK : Extensive renovations and extensions to a neglected Edwardian split-level property to provide spaces for modern family living, whilst being sensitive to the external and internal character.

WALTHAMSTOW : A garage conversion, small extension and interior remodelling to a post-war home to provide flexibility and space for a fostering family.
